As the children in the church get older, it is important for us to consider what is so common a sin in our society, especially with the widespread sexualization of children in America. Sexuality is one of the most basic ways people rebel against God. From men laying with men as with a woman to boys uncovering their sisters, the core of all of it is rebelling against God and against His order. It is easy to think of our children who have been in the church their whole lives as Christians. It is easy for them to think of themselves that way, but if they are not walking by faith, they are in rebellion to God. It doesn't matter how much they know about the Scriptures and it is important for us to recognize the easiest way for that rebellion comes out. We need to consider how to order our homes to protect against sin and we need to consider the responsibility to deal with the sin and to expose it. Sin is like leaven. Either you deal with it and expose it to the light or it will increase.
