God has yet more light..... Thank you brother, for your painstakingly careful and honest examination of Scripture for us in these 3 expositions regarding the Headcovering. There are few today who are prepared to lay aside the popular and comfortable systems and interpretations of men,and especially their own long-held views, and really...'let God be true...' You have set this issue in its proper context and like many other Scriptures, we glean valuable lessons from it. Our outward appearance before men ought to bear testimony to the Gospel, but it is our hearts that bear testimony to God...not primarily our outward acts. It is true, we do not obey the Holy Kiss injunction...why? Also,
has anyone else noticed that in 1 Corinthians 14:28 men are also to keep silence in the church. This would appear to mean that silence = not speaking out of turn and inappropriately..as also in 1Timothy 2:11&12. These are not forbidding the spiritual exercises of prayer and prophecy but upholding headship, order and decency in life and worship

Rating Scripture at bay If and when a topic is mentioned only once or more times in Scriptures, it is not our pregoratory to grade its importance, as basic or irelevant by such criteria. For instance, we are told that the law says that women should not speak in the assembly, "Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as *also says the law*. But where in the law is this said? It is the context of the whole revelation that points to this fact and practise, rather than a precise chapter and verse. Perhaps it should pertain us to better rate rewards than Scriptures following the guidance of this verse, which by the way it is only mentioned once also: "Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven."
