Once again it is our great privilege as the people of God to come to the Lord's Supper. This is a privilege that is extended to the children of God and to them alone, and it is our Lord's designated time to remember His death, and to reflect upon its great significance in our lives. I am going to continue our present sermon series on The Servant of the Lord. We are working from the “Servant Songs” that are found in the book of Isaiah. In the sermon today I want to build on the previous sermons, now considering the Servant and His vindication. In the previous sermon we heard Him vent His frustration about His task. But He also expressed His unwavering confidence in God, and in our text today Jehovah speaks out about the salvation He will accomplish through this Servant. And the faithfulness of Jehovah will vindicate the steadfast faith of the Servant, even in the midst of apparent failure. May God grant us great insight into our Savior, and may we come to the Lord's Supper in a profitable and edifying manner.
