Before the Lord, come to terms with your limited foresight and short life (v. 12). Four Applications Remember, we do not face the future without some light. Not in all particulars but sufficient to comfort us. 1. Because we are in Christ, we know that the truth of Rom. 8:28ff. applies to us. 2. Because we are in Christ, we face the future and God’s providence as God’s children. 3. Because we are in Christ, we can lie passive in God’s hand while being active in His work. 4. Because we are in Christ, we know we have to do everything for God’s glory.
