The continuing exposition of the reasons for Christian assurance dwells on the future for the entire creation. It is a clear Biblical theme that the creation was ruined by Adam's sin as surely as Adam himself was ruined. Thus, there is over the creation as it now exists the pall of decay and death. Disorder is the natural tendency of the creation under the curse that resulted from Adam's sin. The whole creation is running down and wearing out, even as the psalmist said in Psalm 102. Paul's message is that there is a definite link between the creation and people. There is something better ahead for the creation. There will be a banishment of that which now exists in favor of that which is in perfect order as the creation was before Adam sinned. The work of Christ has redeemed His people from the curse of the law, and Christ has redeemed His creation from the curse that came as a result of Adam's disobedience.
