Paul says that Timothy knew the Holy Scriptures from childhood. Paul said that he should continue in the things that he had learned and been assured of. Timothy knew that the Scriptures had made him wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. He had an experiential knowledge of how wonderful it was to know Christ and walk with Christ in relation to all the truth of the His word.
