It is a fact that Jesus is coming again, we need to be ready, and there will be different rewards and different punishments when He returns. One reason we know that Jesus is the Messiah, is because He fulfilled all of the prophecies from the Old Testament Scriptures about Him. There are still more prophecies that Jesus has yet to fulfill, however He is returning to fulfill those as well. We must know, with certainty, that Christ is coming again. We should be longing for the return of Christ because of our loving relationship with Him. When Jesus comes, if we are not ready, judgement awaits us. If Jesus were to come right now would we be ready? Jesus is warning people of Hell so that we will not be destroyed. Everyone starts out headed in the wrong direction, our only hope is repentance from our sins through Jesus. We are called to warn people of the danger ahead. We need to repent. The more we know, the more strictly we will be judged. There will be different rewards in Heaven and there will be different punishments in Hell. We are not in charge, nor are we in a duet. Jesus is in charge.
