We all struggle with fear to some degree. When did fear first raise its ugly head in human history? In the Garden of Eden after the fall of man into sin (Genesis 3:9-10). Adam's conscience tormented him with guilt which caused him to hide in fear from the presence of God who came to commune with him in the cool of the evening. What was to be a time of precious communion with the living God became a time of guilt-inspired dread of God. Fear can incapacitate us (it did me—darkness/pub). What are your fears today? From what are you running? Are you trying to escape a guilty conscience or an overpowering individual? Do you fear the loss of work, family, health or freedom. Maybe you are overcome with a fear of war or of death. Regardless of what our fears may be, let's learn together the divine way to overcome them.
