We pick back up in Ephesians 2 by looking at verses 4-7. At the close of chapter 1, Paul told us that the same power which raised Christ from the dead worked in us as well. This raises two questions. One, in what way were we "dead"? Paul answers this question in 2:1-3, where he explains that we were dead in trespasses and sins. The second question raised is this: In what way, then, were we "raised"? This is the question we will answer in our study.
