The lesson opens with a discussion of the Cities of Refuge and the importance of “Finding Christ” in the Old Testament, since all of Scripture is about Him. An exercise is given in learning to think in a “Historical-Redemptive” way. Many excellent "off the cuff" examples are given by the students.
Much of the lesson then deals with the issue of the importance of an attitude of Christian humility.
The practical question is then asked and answered concerning the question of whether an Arminian can be saved. Much of the discussion centers on “easy-believism” and the true desire some have of seeing souls saved, but they offer a defective gospel message that is often used to try to produce results.
The fellow, Ignorant, is still with us today. He takes many forms. The one thing that all these forms have in common is, they believe man is saved by Jesus PLUS something. May we be people ruled by THE BOOK and not our own man-made ideas.
