Paul’s thorn was a real pain. It buffeted him, it beat him, but it did it for a purpose. This thorn was meant to keep him from getting a big head about what God had given him. What is it that is there daily smacking us, God may be using it to help us? When satan attacks us so closely it is because God has given him some leeway which is meant for our good. This thorn caused him to be humble, and there are times that God will have to bring us to our knees. This thorn bothered Paul from the moment he was saved till now. He had been a good Christian but now this thing has come and it bothered him. This shows us that even the mightiest of the men of God get bothered by things. This struggle is there to help us. But the thorn also was a blessing. God told him personally He would be the help to go with it. Sometimes it takes hurt before we can get help. Paul decided to just believe. He had asked, Jesus had answered, so he would just gladly believe in what hew as told.
