The Consequences of Taking Head [or Not] ""THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF WISDOM PART 4: WISDOM PLEADS FOR OUR SPIRITUAL LIVES 32 "Now therefore, listen to me, my children, For blessed are those who keep my ways. 33 Hear instruction and be wise, And do not disdain it. 34 Blessed is the man who listens to me, Watching daily at my gates, Waiting at the posts of my doors. 35 For whoever finds me finds life, And obtains favor from the LORD; 36 But he who sins against me wrongs his own soul; All those who hate me love death." Proverbs 8:32-36 This Lord's Day Pastor Randy will continue our study of the Book of Proverbs. If you listen, learn, and remember Wisdom's words and do them, you will be safe from many troubles. The unstated contrast is that if you don't trouble and trials will befall, and ultimately destruction. Proverbs 8 is Wisdom's Autobiography…. Who Is She and What Does She Do? Because of Her Antiquity… because she was with the Father from before the beginning and the One through Whom He would create the heavens and the earth and all creatures. These last verses are the application of all that Wisdom has said. She pleads with all who listen that they should do what She says. In the end there are only two options. You will listen, learn, and do what Wisdom says, or you will play the part of the fool. These are the only two options.
