This morning, I want us to take a walk with God through some painful moments in life. I know as a church we are hurting over the loss of a dear sister in the Lord. She shined bright in this church, and the place she sat will always be remembered. The family is grieving at her sudden loss. Our church is grieving over her sudden loss, but we grieve with hope (1 Thess. 4:13). We have hope “of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began (Titus 1:2). We are assured by her testimony and life that she lived that she has made a safe crossing to the other side. As I stood in her hospital room after she had passed, I was reminded of the grace of making it to the end of the race and of the power of the Great Shepherd- Jesus Christ. Let’s walk with Jesus into the Garden of Gethsemane and gain some insight to help us in our time of need. This morning, the title of this message will be “Thy Will Be Done.” We can find rest in the midst of pain as we trust God. I would like for us to consider the following from this text- 1) Resting in the Plan of God 2) Resting in the peace of God, 3) Resting in the Power of God
