And the Lord God Formed Man
God formed man in order that he would represent Him upon the earth; that man would so live in delightful obedience to Him that God would rejoice in all of His works. Man would be given the great privilege of beholding the glory of the Lord in the creation and the glory of the Lord in constant communion in work and rest and play. To be able to know the greatest of beings, is a relationship loaded with privileges and it also comes with the responsibility and the delight of learning to please Him in every way. The purposes of God revealed in this passage show us the tremendous privileges which are ours as men and women and our solemn but joyful responsibilities. Let me give you 3 privileges which were given to men here in the beginning.
