Many have come to a PROFESSION of Christ without heartfelt REPENTANCE. This is an "empty profession," although it may profess much truth.
Saving mercy is only bestowed upon REPENTANT SINNERS. And remember that while REPENTANCE is the act of man, it is a gift of the Sovereign Christ bestowed upon regenerate elect sinners.
We believe this to be a vital message in view of modern methods in evangelism which bypass repentance and teach "faith only" for salvation.
