Prayer changes things. We are to pray not just because it's a commandment, but so the Lord can manifest Himself in us. In the darkest times is where the Lord and His light can shine. Peter's situation was pretty grim. But because God heard prayers and because Peter didn't deny God, he was set free. God made a way and through faith Peter obeyed. If we find ourselves in a prison of fear and doubt God would have us reflect on what He's done for us. We have died with Christ so let us raise with Him.
