Peter is one of my favorite Biblical persons. In this little section of Scripture, we have this precious glimpse into the heart of Peter, and the reason he wrote this Letter. It is a wonderful portion of scripture full of rich truth, reminding us of our great salvation, and giving us an example of one fully committed to Christ until the very end. At a time when he is certain his life on earth is at a close, He is concerned for the church. He knew that what they needed was not something plus Christ, not some new revelation, but a reminder of what they already have.
