It is fitting on this Mother's Day that we would think about Paul's words here to these Thessalonian believers which tell us how pastors and preachers of the gospel were like a nursing mother in some ways that will be important for us to understand. I want to ask the question: What are these desirable qualities which nursing mothers can teach all Christians so that we would better be able to represent Christ to people around us? Let me give you three. They are, 1st – Gentleness. 2nd – Cherishing. And 3rd – The desire to impart life-giving and life-sustaining truths. Let's think about these things together.
