No advance studying no notes (unless already had written in Bible) no outline; just trust in the Lord. What is temptation? It is anything that can cause us to go astray from God. It leads to lust then sin and finally death. Death and hell for the lost and for the saved perhaps a sooner death than we should have had. There are times in our lives when the Spirit will lead us to a place of trying where it seems nobody can help us. Yet God still has provided even there a means of enduring the temptations if we will just look to Him. Even Jesus had to endure temptation. He relied on scripture and the more we know of scripture the better armed will be against temptation. There are times too that the quiet times are the most dangerous because we get too comfortable even a little lazy. We might start slacking off on our prayers and Bible study and temptation is looking for those times. God promises us temptations will come and that He has provided a way to bear it. That word bear means endure. We won't completely escape, if we did we would never grow, but we can endure with God. We will have to face them, just don't roll over for them.
