When I was in college, I had a class that was called "Analysis of Romans." This class taught by Dr. John Wilson was one of the most important classes I ever took. We took the Book of Romans apart verse by verse to analyze it and to see what God was saying through it to us. One vivid memory I have from this class was Dr. Wilson teaching on this paragraph in Paul's epistle and introducing it with a discussion that he once had with a student. The student asked, "What possible connection could the solitary act of one man many millennia ago have to do with me now?"
