The glorious truth that we celebrate this Easter Sunday morning is that since Christ's flesh rested in the grave in the sure hope of His resurrection, we too can look forward to a glorious resurrection in the future, if we believe that Jesus died and rose again for us. We see in these verses, the reasons that Christ's heart was glad in looking forward to His resurrection. They are the same reasons that you and I, if we believe in Him can be glad when we think of our own future, and the resurrection of the dead. Let me give you three questions to consider at this time which I think will help you to know Christ's heart better; and why He could be glad, even though He was going to be crucified, die at the hands of wicked men, and be buried. What was He looking forward to? And what was it that made His heart glad?
