Food for thought I agree Abraham has a natural seed. He had 8 sons. 1 by Sarah, 1 by Hagar, and 6 by Keturah. And he had a spiritual seed of which all regenerated believers are numbered. But to deny the role of the nation Israel in "the day of the Lord"(a statement that occurs 29 times in the KJV, 5 times in the NT) based on that is quite a statement. Especially in light of 600+ prophecies of our Lord's second coming which is double the number of prophecies of His first coming. Zechariah 12 even mentions the descendants of specific Jewish families that will mourn for their Messiah such as the house of David, Nathan, Levi, and Shemei; each family by themselves and their wives by themselves. Every individual of those families will mourn in that day. The Holy Spirit (who moved on the writers of scriptures as they wrote) is making it known by being so specific that this is no allegory. The prophecies of Christ's first coming were literal and accurate and so are the prophecies of His second coming. I'm not picking on Todd. I just feel very strongly about the Bible saying what it means and meaning what it says. Besides Todd said he looked forward to my comments. I hope that's true. I wouldn't be listening to him so much if I didn't enjoy hearing him.
