Sin contaminates, corrodes, destroys and eventually kills. Yet people today are reluctant to discuss it. God deals with sin. The vision in this passage is about God dealing with sin. We have in this passage an accuser, the accused and a judge.
We see sin personified in Joshua and look at why it is noteworthy that he is a high priest.
We also see Satan as the accuser who loves to plant the seed of doubt and bring discouragement to the believer.
And finally we see God rebuking Satan and letting him know the believer is a brand plucked from the fire. God loves us because He chose us and He chose us because He loves us. What a wonderful comfort.
