Happy Resurrection Day! April 12, 2020 (1 Corinthians 15:3-4, 20-26) I just read that the LAST ENEMY that will be destroyed is DEATH. Christ's sacrifice has already destroyed the one who had the power of death and the fear that resulted from it (Hebrews 2:14-15).
The Resurrection. This is the gospel that saves souls through the sinless precious blood that Christ shed on the cross of Calvary. There is no greater sacrifice, no great story, and no greater Saviour. Jesus Christ the redeemer of mankind and the blessed redemption for all those who have placed their trust in Him.
• The first thing you need to understand is that Jesus personifies the resurrection. We find that truth as He speaks to Martha after the death of Lazarus (John 11:23-25).
It is important to realize that the Jews may have left Paradise (their souls) but their bodies remain in the grave awaiting their resurrection to the Land. This will not take place until a future date completely separate from the Rapture and resurrection of believers in the body of Christ. The three synoptic gospels each offer some unique aspects to Christ's crucifixion. • Mark shows that Jesus was resurrected on the first day of the week (Mark 16:1-6). The Jews recognized the Sabbath or seventh day of the week as the most important day of the week and for good reason. Yet, God ordained the first day of the week as the primary day of worship for Christians (1 Corinthians 16:2).
The first day of the week is the primary day of worship for the Christian church because Christ was resurrected on the first day of the week, the early church as an example to us met on the first day of the week, and the Jewish Sabbath days....
