Early Christians were routinely forced to choose between disobeying God and disobeying their government. Christ's first followers understood that to be His loyal subject meant a pledge of allegiance to a higher Court of Law. For them, following King Jesus meant repeated imprisonments and in nearly every case, severe public punishment. In the dark days ahead, Christians in every nation may be forced to make the same choices as our predecessors. It is utterly critical that we train our hearts and minds to reject cowardice, and awaken the lionhearted courage of those faithful first Christ-followers who refused to obey laws that sanctioned sin. Join us on Sunday, 10/17, as we give careful consideration to the subject of "Civil Disobedience."
