"Truth seldom goes without a scratched face." Puritan John Trapp was concise and astute concerning the effect that Truth spoken and lived has on the unredeemed human heart. In this message, we see one of the initial confrontations between Jesus and the Jewish leaders. When the Lord implicitly declared His Deity, those leaders knew what He was saying and they hated Him for it. They depised Him even more when He declared His Sovereign authority over them. It was these times of brutal honesty that led to the murder of Jesus. Learn from this message that Jesus expects no less from His elect people as they face the lies, deceptions, false theologies and hostile lifestyles that stand in stark contrast to the Way, the Truth and The Life. Note that Part One of this message was preached on June 4, 2004. -mjc
