When someone is quickly angered it reveals a lack of love. This is not a small matter because such anger is evidence of a lack of self control and its manifestation in this area warns that there is most likely lack of self-control in other areas too. Those who are quickly angered cannot be trusted to act in submission to Biblical truth, rather, their responses to problems and difficulties will be reactions, which means they will respond unbiblically. Furthermore, anger is bad when it arises due to trivial things, that is, for issues that have no Biblical basis. If your anger has no Biblical basis it means you are serving man's interests and agenda. Finally, anger is wrong when it arises in people because they have been personally offended--this should not be. We exist to exalt, promote and defend the cause and name of our King, not our own name or cause. Love is not provoked, what is provoked is self and self shouldn't be around so that it can be provoked.
