Exegesis: How the church today learns from Christ's obedient slaves: we marvel at the practical reality of their faith (v. 5); we should emulate the purity of their service (vv. 6-7); we are one with them, in the body of Christ (v. 8).
Further application: The principal emphases of today's text (for application): Christianity is not primarily a man-centered religion, and real faith is willing to do anything for Christ.
