Theme: All people are exhorted to be wise and follow the true way of wisdom found in Jesus Christ. In vv. 31-32, Jesus condemns those who insist on their own way. We need to remember that we are God's servants, and we must come to Him on His terms. In vv. 33-34, Jesus reveals the objections of the heart. We should evaluate our dedication and seek to reach out to others. In v. 35, Jesus affirms the true way of wisdom. Wisdom is found in Christ, and we must seek and apply wisdom. This really calls out the choice we have. To seek the wisdom which is Christ - or seek our own wisdom, which leads to death. Seek wisely!
