As our study of the Book of Judges continues, we find that Israel quickly forgets God's Word and fails to do what God said.
We are introduced to the cycle that we begin and be often repeated throughout the book. God's people rebel, they experience retribution, they repent and the response with a restoration (sort of).
The I think it's clear that with their sin, Israel sins against God and break their covenant with Him. That He continues to care and provide for them, is not because they are worthy or deserving, but because He is gracious... and has purposed to advance His will and future redemption through them.
