The Thorny-Ground Hearer (Luke 8:4-15)
In this third exposition of the Parable of the Sower, we're looking at the most subtle and dangerous soil type: thorny soil. The thorny soil receives the seed, and the seed even begins to grow. But the thorns (which Jesus explains are the cares, riches, and pleasures of the world) choke the life out of the good seed, so that it bears no fruit. Listen along as we look, not only look at the text, but look at our own hearts to be sure that these thorns don't have a hold upon us.
