Today I would like to speak to you about the importance of correct eschatology in relation to the Church’s understanding of the fulfillment of the Great Commission. Eschatology is not only related to the Last Things of Christ’s Second Coming, it should be understood in relation to the Church and how she comes to reign upon the earth. Chapter 4 introduces to us the truth that Christ as the Head of the Christ has been given all power by the appointment of the Father, for the calling, institution, order, and government of the Church. It is invested in a supreme and sovereign manner in Him, and that the Pope cannot in any sense be considered the head of the Church that He claims to be. Indeed, he is the Antichrist as foretold in the Scriptures in the books of Daniel, 2nd Thessalonians, and Revelation. It is the Antichristian system of the Papacy and the false Church of Roman Catholicism which has been for hundreds of years road-blocking the advance of Christ’s Church among the nations. But this shall not continue indefinitely.
