Revelation 20 speaks of the millennium, or 1,000 year reign of Christ. Today and next week, we will look at the strengths and weaknesses of the 4 major understandings of this part of Scripture. These 4 understandings are: Dispensationalism, Historic Premillennialism, Postmillennialism, and Amillennialism. Each of these views falls within the framework of historic Christian orthodoxy. Though they differ in the interpretation of the book of Revelation (and eschatology) each view is legitimately held among Bible-believing, orthodox Christians. Differences in views on this matter is not reason for conflict among believers as long as there is agreement in the fact that Jesus is coming back and there will be judgment and those in Christ will be resurrected to spend eternity with Christ and those not in Christ will be resurrected to eternal punishment.
