ā€ˇWhat I intend to do this morning is to show you that in order for any person to come to ā€ˇknow God and to have saving faith in Jesus Christ, there are 3 things which must take place ā€ˇin their mind and heart if they are to be converted to Christ. These 3 things were initiated by ā€ˇChrist Himself in Saulā€™s case, and they are initiated by the Holy Spirit Himself, in our case, if ā€ˇany one of us is to be saved. The 1st thing that must take place in order for a person to come to ā€ˇknow God and to have saving faith, is that a divine and supernatural light must be imparted ā€ˇā€ˇ(shined into) your mind and heart if you would be saved. (verses 1-3) 2nd ā€“ The next thing ā€ˇthat must take place is that your ears must be opened to hear ā€ˇspiritually and respond rightly ā€ˇto the voice of ā€ˇChrist speaking to youā€ˇ. ā€ˇ(verses 4 and 5)ā€ˇā€¸ ā€¸ā€ˇ3rd ā€“ Let us understand that a mighty ā€ˇchange must be wrought upon your will, so that you will do the Lordā€™s will and not resist His ā€ˇword. (verses 6-9) I pray that the Lord will give to each of us a better understanding of His ā€ˇworking in the New Birth, in the regeneration of the soul, and how saving faith is created in ā€ˇthe heart of sinner who has been opposed to Christ. ā€ˇ
