Aim: To flee to our heavenly Father through the merits of Christ.
Exegesis: The glory of God drives us to Jesus, because we are afraid, in our sin (v. 23); because we are amazed by the Lord's grace (v. 24); because we are afflicted by our depravity (v. 25). The love of God drives us to Jesus. The Lord's special grace is upon us (v. 26); the Lord's intercessory grace is with us (v. 27); the Lord's redemptive grace saves us (v. 28).
Key verse: v. 27 ''You [Moses] go near and hear all that the LORD our God may say, and tell us all that the LORD our God says to you, and we will hear and do it.''
