BEHOLD, HE COMETH: Who is He? Verse 1—"The Revelation of Jesus Christ" Verse 2—"the testimony of Jesus Christ" Verse 5—"And from Jesus Christ" Verse 7—"Behold HE [Jesus Christ] cometh…" There is no need to guess who is coming. Jesus Christ is coming again!!! The return in Revelation mentions earth's inhabitants wailing, not Christ comforting them. HE COMETH WITH CLOUDS: The word of God references clouds throughout the Bible, signifying a need to study context. Clouds are definitely a mode of transportation. Clouds can picture majesty and glory; thus, the Bible frequently mentions God in the cloud(s). Yet, forcing the Rapture into a passage mentioning clouds is unwise simply because it refers to clouds. • During the wilderness wanderings, God resided in the cloud. Exodus 13:21 • The Lord descended to meet Moses upon mount Sinai in a cloud. Exodus 34:4 • The cloud covered the tabernacle and was called "the cloud of the LORD." Exodus 40:34 • The Lord said He would appear in the cloud over the mercy seat. Additionally, one man would appear before the Lord once a year in the presence of God. Leviticus 16:1 • The Lord used clouds to veil His majesty. Psalm 18:11 • The Lord uses the clouds to travel; He rides upon a swift cloud. Psalm 104:3 , Isaiah 19:1 • God the Father traveled to earth in a cloud—like here in the Mount of Transfiguration Luke 9:28 • A mighty angel descends from heaven "clothed with a cloud." Revelation 10:1 • The Two Witnesses ascend in the cloud. Revelation 11:12 • One like the Son of man sits upon a white cloud as the earth is reaped. Revelation 14:14 • A cloud showed up at Christ's ascension back to Heaven after His resurrection. Acts 1:9
