The scariest thing about those things that we hold on to, that we think make us acceptable, is that they don't work; they don't matter! We could be living for things that one day, on our deathbed, we're left thinking, "I have lived for a bunch of things that don't even matter".
It's one thing to confess Christ, that He lived for us, He died for us, He rose from the dead for us; but it's another thing to understand how that applies to our life on a daily basis.
