Theme: When life isn't going the way we expected, we must continue to place our trust in Christ with confidence in who He is. In Luke 7:18-20, John's expectations of the kingdom have not been met, and he questions whether Jesus is the Messiah. We can learn from this passage how to handle trials biblically. John sends his disciples to Jesus for answers. In vv. 21-22, Jesus demonstrates His identity. We are encouraged in our trials to meditate not on our circumstances, but to fight our doubts by focusing on Who Jesus is! In all our circumstances, struggles, problems, and doubts, Jesus wants us to turn to Him and trust Him. He is the true Messiah and Redeemer.
