He gave you… you; He gave you things external to you; He gave you others with whom to enjoy yourself and your things. All this was given to you by God to be enjoyed outside the sanctuary of your inner self. In that sanctuary God Himself would be your ultimate and supreme satisfaction and delight. He would abide there alone as enough for all your fulfillment. God's presence in man made these things of self, objects and others, gifts and blessings, love trappings of God's courtship with ourselves.
