Is a baby born basically 'good' and then corrupted by their environment, or are babies born intrinsically evil with a bent toward sin? Is it 'nurture' or 'nature' that determines the actions of a person. In the future Age. God will conduct his own experiment-- a test to prove whether it is 'nurture' or 'nature'. For people during the Kingdom age will be living in a perfect world. Satan will be confined to the abyss so that there will be no external solicitation to sin. Jesus Christ will be ruling the world with justice and equity for all. No more hunger and poverty. Everything that people think today would cause a person to turn to crime are absent in the kingdom. God then reintroduces evil back into this world by releasing Satan from the abyss for a season. Satan's incarceration did not change his nature or reform him. And he sets out to deceive the world revealing that man's basic nature has not changed from living in a perfect environment. He leads a world-wide rebellion against Christ's rule, only to be destroyed by God and Satan to be cast into the lake of fire. God proves to man that his problems stem from his nature, not nurture. And that the only hope for mankind is a transformed, new nature-- ours through faith in Jesus Christ!
