Christians are united to Christ and citizens of heaven. As believers, we await the full realization of our glorified bodies and our heavenly citizenship. For now, we must stand firm in the Lord. Standing firm is never standing still for the Apostle Paul. Standing firm is pressing on, and desiring Christ more intensely and completely in our lives. The opposite of standing firm and seeking after Christ is drifting toward apostasy. The Bible teaches that if those who confess Christ are not seeking after Christ, they are drifting, and they could very possibly be on the road to apostasy. Let us walk as citizens, pressing toward the goal and the prize, rejoicing in Jesus.
