Hebrews 9:15-22 1. We forget that the Lord Jesus came to accomplish the forgiveness of our sin. (The Problem) v.15a. 2. We must embrace the death of Christ as being the only means of Christian living. (The Correction) v.15b. a. Being a Christian requires Jesus dying for me. v.16-17 b. My sin requires the death of an innocent to pay for my guilt. v. 18 • God's covenant deals with eternity so the penalty is severe. Vv.19-20 • there is no part of God's covenant that does not require lifeblood. v.21 3. We have been granted great blessing but at an extremely high price. (The Follow-Through)
