And Hezekiah rejoiced, and all the people, that God had prepared the people: for the thing was done suddenly. (2 Chronicles 29:36)
The wicked reign of Ahaz had come to an end. Very quickly Hezekiah his son re-established the true worship of God in the land, beginning with cleansing the Temple. How suddenly the scene in the land changed for the better! God had not only raised up a king that feared him, but had prepared the people to support him. This was a cause of rejoicing for the King and the people.
May the Lord do these things for us in our land today, using the current pandemic as a means with his power to prepare men's hearts to return to the Lord.
