Are we serving the brethren? This is the test of the genuineness of our Christianity. We have liberty in Christ; we are to use this glorious freedom to serve one another. We have been set free from self, pride, and jealousy; to serve the brethren is a sanctifying work. Before our salvation, we served ourselves, but now we are to remember the example of our dear Saviour, who said He came not to be ministered unto, but to minister. Service to others brings contentment, happiness, and purpose. In the church, we learn the value of ministering to one another, which is to be passed on to those outside the church.
