Paul as an apostle wrote to Titus who was ministering on the island of Crete establishing the leadership and instructing the local church of believers. In so doing he was to see to the appointment of elders to oversee the church and gave the qualifications for those who would do so. He wrote correcting some of the false teaching that was creeping into the church giving warning, instruction, and words of encouragement. Paul made clear that he was writing not of his own opinion or thought but as an apostle of Jesus Christ had authority to write what was in fact the very word of God to His church. The qualifications of an apostle are described in detail in the message.
