Luke 8 focuses on the truth of verse 8: "He who has ears to hear, let him hear." In other words, one who has been born again has spiritual hearing restored. Let that one listen to the Word. Luke then presents a number of events that involve hearing the Word. (1) He demands to be Lord in our domestic lives (vv. 19-21). (2) He demonstrates His Lordship over destructive nature (vv. 22-25). (3) He, being Lord, demands submission of demons (vv. 26-39). (4) He, being Lord, reveals His power over disease (vv. 42-48). And (5) Being Lord, He demonstrates authority over death (vv. 49-56). This message covers the first three. Jesus is Lord. Have you submitted fully to His Lordship over your life?
