Certainly, the Lord Jesus is holy and loves righteousness and hates sin. He is a faithful husband to His bride and burns with a righteous jealousy to have His church wholly committed to Him rather than to other lovers. Would we desire to come to a Jesus that was as sinful as we are? No, of course not! We flee to Jesus because He is absolutely righteous (because He is the sinless Lamb of God who alone can take away our sin). We flee to Jesus (and not to some mere creature in heaven) because He fully God and is unlimited in power and grace to help sinners like you and me. Jesus needs no help from anyone in heaven as if He is too busy for you and your needs or as if He is too austere and unapproachable to actually care for you in your trials, struggles, weaknesses, and sins. The loving sympathy of the Lord is not a mere feeling or attitude that is unable to help us, but rather His compassion is infinitely powerful and effectual in reaching down to help us, even in the most desperate circumstances, touching us, cleansing us, kissing us, and bearing us up in His arms.
