Over and over, it repeats the tremendous promises that our Father makes to His children. It contrasts those promises with the disaster that awaits the wicked. Interspersed with these promises are two warning proverbs, warning against recreational evil and against hiring a lazy messenger. But if we invert those warnings, we can see their positive side: Wisdom delights in goodness and in hard work. So look with me this morning at the glorious truth that God protects His people and gives them delight in doing good and working hard.
