The "i" in TULIP is "Irresistible Grace", but is it really irresistible? What about Stephen's words in Acts 7:51 -- "You always resist the Holy Spirit"? And doesn't 2 Cor. 6:1 show that God's grace can be received "in vain" -- to no saving benefit?
Perhaps "Efficacious Grace" would be better terminology, but why should we think that God's saving grace is "efficacious" and always accomplishes its aim?
