Aim: To grasp the concept of the Christian life as it is expressed in the nourishment that the Lord provides us.
Exegesis: Day one: we eat lamb (v. 10). This [Passover] signifies our deliverance from the world, and our salvation from sin and death. We are directed to the Christ. Day two: we eat grain (v. 11). This [Feast of Unleavened Bread] speaks of our joy in the Lord, rest in the Lord, and service to the Lord. Day three: we eat milk and honey (v. 12). This fare is better for us than manna, and is what we have been longing for all along.
Key verse: v. 12 ''Then the manna ceased on the day after they had eaten the produce of the land; and the children of Israel no longer had manna, but they ate the food of the land of Canaan that year.''
